How do i reset all the settings in Photoshop cs3 ? its so strange now :S

Window > Workspace > Default Workspace, or look abit futher down the menu to find 'Reset Menu'.

That is an excellent tutorial! I love the final effect, and I see how simple this is compared to some other fog/smoke tutorials, except it won't work for me. When I go to Filter --> Render --> Clouds, the entire image gets covered in white, but nothing else happens, it turns into a white canvas. o_O How do I fix that?

you have your foreground and background colors as white, you need to have one as black and one as white.

its because you might need glasses cuz render allways comes with photoshop.
