Couldn't you just erase the part of the picture you don't want, then move what is left over to the new picture.

Sounds easier to me.

Try the eraser and see whether it is easy to erase everything - including the close pixels between the fingers.

You could you use the magnetic lasso tool to get a very fine cut out.. this is basically just rubbing out what you don't want...

whenever I click ok, my picture has the grey and white checkers all throughout the image. I dont know what im doing wrong. every image I use does the same thing

whats the difference between elements illustrator and reg photoshop? i use normal photoshop but this looks like a less powerful version but what is illustrator?
