The fastest human powered bike world record was set in Oct, 2002 at 81 mph (130km/h) by Sam Whittingham from Canada. Since the record was set, it is still remains unbroken.

You do realize that's impossible right? That's 168019.75 Miles Per Hour or 46.67 Miles Per SECOND! At that speed you can free fall around the earth, actually, you'd escape earth's gravity and fly off in space. Your website source must have been trying to say 268.(Point)831 km/h which translates into 168.019 mph or .0466 miles/second which also translates into 21.427 seconds for every mile.

20GuitarZero07: You aer disqualifying yourself. Fred Rompelberg had a bicicle which was entirely human powered. No external power whatsoever. What Rompelberg had was a wind shield carryed by a dragster in front of him to eliminate air friction. Thats all. Take a look at his byke.
