I meant to say, you can do this school to be a crewman, pilots do it also.

say, to go to flight school, or API does it help to go to college, and become an officer, and if so would some sort of aviation degree be ideal, i guess what I'm wondering is what was your path?
Timbonezs (May 18, 2008 at 12:34 pm)
You need to be an officer to be an aviator, which means you need to go to college. You don't need to major in an aviation field to become a military aviator. I majored in political science, and I'm in the middle of flight training at NAS Pensacola.

does this prepare you for like regular flying or military...i dont get it
Timbonezs (May 24, 2008 at 11:11 am)
Aviation preflight indoctrination is for the military. There is no civilian school comparable to what you do in API and then in actual military flight training.
snowm0bile (November 19, 2008 at 10:22 pm)
That is not correct. You have to do this school to be a crewman. And you do not have to be an officer to be a crewman, because I am and I did this.

I wish that were true...
